Dutch clock fretwork

One and all,

I have been asked to restore a Dutch 18th C. tall case clock.  Much of the fretwork in the hood is completely gone.  I need some good, clear photos of similar clocks in order to recreate the fretwork patters.  Any ideas?  PSP

Peter,
When I am looking for something from another country I use an on-line translator to find the right search words. In this case english to dutch. I then search with those words for images that look like what i am looking for.
In this case "grandfather clock" in dutch was  "staande klok (groot en antiek)" . I then pasted that in the search bar and found images that I liked under "antieke staande klokken"

https://www.google.com/search?q=antieke+staande+klokken&client=ubuntu&hs=nIs&channel=fs&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=RCsFUpSbBuLCyQH024HYBA&ved=0CAkQ_AUoAQ&biw=1280&bih=857

Maybe you will see something that works or leads you to more information.
veel geluk!
Mike

Peter,
My wife Rian is a furniture conservator and is also Dutch and trained in the Netherlands. If you send me a picutures of the clock, I am sure we can help you out. We have conserved many 18th c Dutch clocks not the lest of which was FDR's.

Mike,

Thank you.  Truly, I would never have thought of something like that.

Randy,

Thank you, also.  I will get some good photos of the project to you ASAP.
