LONE STAR CHAPTER - ROADTRIP

The Lone Star Chapter of The Society of American Period Furniture Makers will meet on Saturday, December 2, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. at SCOTT CREEK CHAIRS located on Scott Creek Farm, 29580 Redtop Road, Richards, Texas 77873 (936-874-2802). This is the home of our member Milton Scott who specializes in making windsor chairs. Milton will demonstrate steam bending and carving out a windsor chair seat using traditional tools. Milton's work is excellent and if you have any interest in windsor chairs, this is a "must see" opportunity. Milton trained under Michael Dunbar at the Windsor Institute and makes and sells all types of windsor chairs.
As always, bring a sack lunch and your folding chair. Drinks will be provided and since this is our first anniversary as a SAPFM chapter, I thought I'd bring a birthday cake! We will be dining in the barn! I hope to see everyone there.
