VENEERING
Inlays,Stringing and Shading
DECEMBER 1,2007
The Lone Star Chapter of the Society of American Period Furniture Makers will meet on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at the home of Tom Kroeger, 6403 Bayonne Dr., Spring, Texas 77389. Mapquest will give you great directions.
Dan Phillips, a recent graduate of the North Bennet Street School in Boston, will be demonstrating veneer preparation, veneering techniques, inlays and bell flowers, stringing and shading. Dan has a Sheraton style chair he made while a student at NBSS in the current issue of Fine Woodworking magazine # 194, page 86. Dan operates D. H. Phillips Cabinet and Furniture Making in Dallas, Texas.
As always, bring your folding chair and a sack lunch. Cold drinks will be provided. Come out and help celebrate our second anniversary as a SAPFM chapter and learn all about veneering from a man who knows his stuff. We also have at least six new members you will want to meet.
Hope to see you there!
