I live in Miami, where cuban mahogany is a common landscape tree along city streets. After hurricanes Katrina and Wilma passed through here, in 2005, I collected a dozen substantial logs of this beautiful wood. These logs have been sawed into slabs ranging from 4/4 to 10/4 in thickness. Widths are up to about 24 inches. I am pricing this wood at $12.50 per board foot.
