If anyone's interested in a lot of shots of knee carving being done, I've been been putting it in my blog on my site. I'd copy it here if I knew how......Al

Any chance you could post the pattern for tracing?

Howard- As I designed the pattern, I'd hate to put it out as an original period pattern, but I'm happy to share it with that understanding. I purposely omitted actual gouge sizes, since they'll vary depending on the size of leg. This was on a 16/4 bed leg, so it may be a little big for other apps. But that said, I'll post the gouge sizes so you'll have somewhere to start. I'm finishing the carving today and will get the sizes before I put them away.

Howard- Here's tool list for that carving. Yours may vary if you decide to reduce the size, but I think you could use these for a smaller one without much problem-Al    PS- I'm putting the pattern in a blog post
