Woodworking Workshops Of The Shenandoah Valley will be offering a week long class July 25-29, 2011 on building a miniature or child size highboy.  This has all the period joinery that a full size period piece has at a quarter the lumber cost. Not to mention a collectors item also. The original has drake feet which can be an option for yours also.  If you think that a week long class will not be what you wanted to improve your cabinetmaking skills then you will be pleasntly suprised by taking one of our classes. Cut list, tool list, and lunch included.

Sign up for this one.  I'll be there from Texas that week for the "cajun" sized highboy.

I got back from the class early this week.  I am so very pleased with how everything went.  Jeff and Steve are obviously  talented, but are also so giving with information and "how-to."    I will say I did a LOT of thinking and looking at workshops before attending this; and am happy I took the 23 hour drive (complete trip including gas stops, and a 2 hour sleeping break).

Here is an image of the crew I have to finish the mini highboy.

I'll post another image just for kicks in a couple months when I can get around to the finishing of it.

Jeff, don't tell Steve about this picture, I am going to mail you guys some images in a few days.
