Mark your calendar for this Fall's Chesapeake SAPFM meeting which is now scheduled for Saturday, November 17th, 2012 from 10:00AM - 4:00PM at the anticipated new Woodworkers Club location in Rockville, Maryland.  Jeff Headley and Steve Hamilton will be our featured presenters. Jeff and Steve operate the Mack S. Headley & Sons cabinet shop and companion teaching facility, the Woodworking Workshops of the Shenandoah Valley.  To check out details check their websites at:

Mack Headley & Sons - http://www.headleyandsons.com
Woodworking Workshops of the Shenandoah Valley - http://www.wwotsv.com

Jeff and Steve plan to share with us their perspective of the history and operation of a 5th generation traditional woodworking shop, including a portfolio of the shop's work featuring classic 17th and 18th century creations that stand the test of time, and samples of their work such as their famous take apart Winchester Virginia Slant Front Desk with hidden compartments, miniature blanket chest, card table and chairs.  Peppered throughout their presentation will be insights into custom, hand-made "Tools of their Trade" of their ancestors along with period construction techniques of the individual pieces that will be on display.

We will be meeting in the Woodworkers Club new location at 11910 Parklawn Ave, Rockville, MD which is only about four blocks away from their current location at 4950 Wyaconda Road. This will be a great time for everyone to tour the new Woodworkers Club retail, member and shop facilities especially the new "Center for Creative Woodworking" that will be expanding and featuring even more woodworking related education offerings and renowned instructors.  The Woodworkers Club is anticipating the completion of their move in the September timeframe.  If you want to track their progress and watch for their planned Grand Opening Week in October, track them at:  http://woodworkersclub.com

Registration and more agenda details including directions will be provided in the early October timeframe in a email requesting pre-registration at that time.
