April 26th meeting Rock River Chapter

There were fifteen members and two guests who met at
Woodcraft in Woodridge, IL.  There were a total of eight presenters.  One presenter, Tom McMahon drove five hours one way.  What a commitment!
The show and tell started with Dom Custable and a document box he made.

Ed Bouvier discussed the riving and building of his saw. 

Bill Zeman showed the tray he built with wood from his scrap box. [I could use the wood from his scrap box.] He also offered a challenge to others to do the same. If you think about it, many of us have small pieces of wood that are too good to discard!

Tom McMahon talked about and gave a demo of the chipbreaker effect. This involved the proper way to put a bevel on the chipbreaker.  Tom then went on to four square a board with hand planes.

Arnie Bandstra attended the Winter Conference.  He showed special hammers and other tools that he made after seeing such tools.
