    April 26th meeting Rock River Chapter

    There were fifteen members and two guests who met at Woodcraft in Woodridge, IL.  There were a total of eight presenters.  One presenter, Tom McMahon drove five hours one way.  What a commitment! The show and tell started with Dom Custable and a document box he made.

    Keyhole escutcheon

    I have been working on a spice box.  Have no idea how to install the inset keyhole escutcheon.  I understand to be inset, it must go into the wood, but that's it.  Any ideas?  Jim Vojcek

    New Bandsaw

    I'm looking for a new bandsaw.  I know several feel the best thing to do is purchase a used machine and repair it. However, I would like to start with a good new unit.  Laguna looks to be a good bandsaw.  I have heard their customer service is verv bad!  Is Grizzly or any other brand of good...

    3-D Version of Drawings

    I checked out the new plans. Wow!  The Queen Anne footstool  is excellent.  Congrats to Timothy Killen and his team.  I can only guess as to how many hours were put into the drawings.  On the Block Front Chest,  a message came up:  Drawings are moved or gone.  I hope it was not OM on my part...

    Mark, saw your article in Popular Woodworking #186, Hanging Corner Cupboard.  Very impressive!  I use J.E. Moser`s dyes and have had the same problem with maple, I like your special mix. Jim Vojcek

    Classic Corner Chair

    Mickey, very nice article in FWW #215 on "Build a Classic Corner Chair."  Impressive photo layout.  I do have one question however:  why do you cut the shoes off the back rails?  I have never made a corner chair, but hope to one day. Jim Vojcek
